Classes

In all Forte Forest classes, you will be welcomed into a child-centered, safe, and respectful environment where kids can feel free to explore and imagine freely. Classes are playful, engaging, and fun, research-based and intended to develop the whole-child.  Students will develop social skills, problem solving-skills, and foundational skills important for building understandings in math, reading, and other subject areas.  The objective of Forte Forest classes is to instill a lifelong understanding and love of music in each child.

Classes are currently only offered when requested.  Since I also teach public school, classes are only available after 4:30 or on weekends, except when school is not in session. Pricing will be $3-$8 per child, depending on the size of the overall group and the length and location of the class.  Classes can be offered at The Historic Grove Theater in Oak Ridge, TN (depending on availability) or at a location of your choice.  Please contact me to set-up a class for your group or event.

Birthday Parties

Music classes are a great idea for your next birthday party!  Packed full of short, varied activities to match the needs of the age level, birthday party classes are sure to keep your kids active and happy.  We will sing silly songs, play with scarves and parachutes, move to music from around the world, and discover how to play instruments such as shakers, tambourines, sand blocks, and drums.

Homeschool Groups

Music classes can be requested as a special event for your homeschool co-op or group.  Age-specific classes can be offered or one class can be offered for a wide range of ages.  Classes are designed to stimulate creativity, encourage critical-thinking, and develop self-esteem and cooperation skills.  Classes will include fun songs, movement activities, games, and instruments.
